Adelbert stopped to survey his surroundings. Castle grounds: check. Sneaking past the entrance guards hadn't been as hard as the Mazoku had thought it'd be. The guards had obviously been preoccupied with other more important things, but what they were Adelbert had no clue.
As the blnode looked around, he ducked behind a bush, waiting for the patroling guards to pass buy. He watched them as they walked around a turn and vanished.
Probably going to guard the next entrance. Damnit!.
Adelbert ran his hands though his hair. He just
had to get into the inner castle, jst had to! Blue eyes looked around, searching for that one thing that'd grant his wish. A few seconds later and it was found- a large window not four feet away from him. His eyes scanned it, the contours, the apparent thickness. There was no way he could open it. There was only one option. Adelbert looked around again for something to use,
anything.
"Hey? Is someone over there?"
Adelbert froze, holding his breath. Some rookie guard was shouting over to where he was. He waited, letting out a sigh of relief as the guard walked back to his post around the corner. He listened, waiting for more guards to come running. Nothing. Adelbert slowly rose to his feet, making a decision. He couldn't hang around forever looking for a way in. This was it, his one and only chance. Adelbert moved back before running at the window full pelt. He covered his eyes at the last moment before crashing though it, landing on his front and skidding a few feet across the inside floor.
That wasn't the most graceful of entrances.....
